*This pattern has been test knitted through size 8. If you would like to knit a size 9 or 10, you can get this and an additional pattern of your choice at no cost if you finish the pattern and provide feedback on fit and yarn usage. Please message me!
Yarn: Aran-weight yarn, approximately 335 (380, 430, 530)(595, 650, 700)(750, 800, 850) grams/400 (450, 515, 640)(715, 780, 840)(900, 960, 1020) yards/370 (420, 475, 580)(650, 715, 770)(825, 875, 930) meters.
The yarn used for the sample is Kraeo Big Brother Aran, a 100% wool yarn with 140 yards/128 meters to 115 grams. Other wool or wool-blend yarns would work for this pattern, as would many synthetics and cotton blends.
Needles: US 9/5.5 mm and 11/8.0 mm or size needed to achieve gauge plus two full US sizes smaller. This sweater is worked in the round.
You will need:
• 16”/40 cm circular needle in both sizes
• 24 or 32”/60 or 80 cm, as well as 40”/100 cm or size to knit comfortably for those working sizes 5 and up, and 60”/150 cm if working size 10, in both sizes.
• needles in both sizes for your preferred method of working in the round for the sleeves and sleeve cuff, either dpns or a long circular needle for the Magic Loop method.
