Finished dimensions: Approximately 18"/45 cm deep with a 54"/ 135 cm shorter edge and 98"/ 245 cm longer edge
Yarn: Fingering/ sock yarn, two 100g skeins in coordinating tonals (C1 and C2) + two 20g mini skeins of a single contrast color (C3). The sample was made using Jilly and Kiddles Fancy Sock, a 85% superwash Merino/ 15% nylon with 437 yards/ 400 meters per 100 grams.
Needles and notions: US 6/4.0 mm or size to obtain gauge. This shawl is worked flat, but a long (60”/ 150 cm) circular needle is recommended so that you can spread out the stitches as the shawl grows in size.
You will also need 20 stitch markers and a tapestry needle for weaving in ends. Small loops of yarn may be used if you do not have enough stitch markers.
Level of difficulty/skills: Advanced beginner/intermediate. Stitch patterns include simple lace using yarn overs; textured stitches; and some colorwork. Most of the repeats are short and easy to memorize. While the shawl includes 3 colors, no more than 2 are used on any given row.
